Water Main Extension
A water main extension is when there is a extension to an existing main water line to reach new areas that need water service. In simple terms, a trench is dug from the current water main to the new location, such as a new house, building, or neighborhood. Then, new pipes are connected to the existing main and laid through the trench. After that, new installation valves and connections are made so the water can be controlled and accessed. Once everything is connected, a test on the system is conducted to make sure there are no leaks and that water flows properly.
